Introducing Acquatherepe - A Unique Mineral Blend

The concept of mineral pools might sound new, but they have been around for thousands of years in the forms of natural springs, lakes, and other mineral-dense water bodies. The popularity of mineral pools has increased over the last few years due to the health and wellness benefits they offer. They are incredibly beneficial and may help in alleviating pain, relieving stress, and improving the circulation of the blood.

For those of you that are not very familiar with mineral pools, a “Mineral Pool” is a generic term used for various products on the market, and it can be anything that isn’t a traditional saltwater swimming pool (100% sodium chloride). Technically, any mineral pool is a pool that uses a combination of different minerals (and may contain added salt/sodium) to create a more comfortable feel in the water.

Compared to your traditional saltwater pools that generate chlorine from the salt in the water (yes, saltwater pool systems contain chlorine), mineral pools use the minerals/salts in the blend to generate chlorine using the same process of electrolysis. To put it simply, whilst the water clarity of saltwater and mineral systems is similar, the water quality and bather comfort of some mineral pools are far superior because of a reduction in chemical use and health properties of the minerals used.

Introducing Acquatherepé Minerals

Acquatherepé is a unique, patented blend of minerals that can be added to any swimming pool to replace traditional pool salt (sodium chloride). This unique blend of minerals softens the pool water. Bather’s experience feels softer hair and skin. It is suitable for most salt chlorination systems and is best used with glass media filtration for superior results (but any filtration method can be used).

Acquatherepé’s unique blend will make you feel like you have just had a luxurious mineral bath benefiting your skin, hair, eyes and nervous system. This unique blend of minerals will also help prevent calcium build up on your pool equipment and provides additional stability to water balance.

*The removal of sodium aids in increasing mineral levels quickly and efficiently before swapping to regular use of Acquatherepé minerals for traditional salt-based pools and also allows Acquatherepé TRANSFORM to be used independently on liquid chlorine pool without adding sodium.

How much to use?

• New Pools: For new pools with a 4000ppm salt chlorinator installed, add 4-5 bags of 10kg acquatherepé minerals for every 10,000L and gently agitate until dissolved. (Note: No Transform is required on a new pool). With the pump and filter in operation, pour the contents around the edges of the pool and continue to operate the filtration system for a minimum of 8 hours after adding minerals.

• Existing Pools: Before adding any minerals to an existing pool, ensure that the calcium hardness, alkalinity and pH are all balanced. The ideal levels for these are:

  • pH - 7.4 to 7.6

  • Calcium Hardness - 200 - 400ppm

  • Alkalinity - 80 - 120ppm

• For a liquid chlorine pool, simply add 1 x bag of Acquatherepé Transform for every 25,000L; then add 1 x bag every 6 months to maintain water feel and quality.

• For a saltwater pool, add 1 x bag of Acquatherepé Transform for every 25,000L for the initial change over, then use Acquatherepé 10kg bag when you need to top up your salt levels.

Many mineral blends claim to emulate the exact same benefits of the mineral waters you may find in nature, but in reality, these are best suited to the lakes, springs or seas they originate from. Unlike many competitor products, who harvest directly from the seas or lakes (where natural forces can greatly influence the mineral composition), we know exactly what minerals are in every bag.
